An animal rights group is taking its message directly to children in Colorado Springs. Wednesday the activist group PETA is staging a demonstration of sorts outside of Evans Elementary School. Their messenger is Ellie the Elephant.

POLITICAL activist Tony Benn will be receiving a message by carrier-pigeon despatched all the way from the Guildhall in Bath. The pigeongramme will be sent by the Marquess of Bath – the patron of the Bath Postal Museum – directly to Mr Benn’s home in Holland Park Avenue.
